« The Wrong Question | Main | All the doors are closing -- Part I. »

It gets very, very hot in Sevilla. People are asleep at midday and the snops are all closed. Then things open up again in the evening. I could never get used to dinner at 9:00 pm or later. But it does have something to do with the heat. And as for the serrano jamon, I too fell in love with it. But it can't be imported into the US (customs took mine away) and so can't be bought here. There are people who have bought futures on the hams whenever the USDA relents and allows them in.
