Funny, the White House counts "10 Ways the Liberation of Iraq Supports the War on Terror".
I guess they can't add, because I counted 3,633 ways.
1,609 U.S. troops killed in Bush's War on Terror™ that is being waged in Iraq.
2,024 Iraqi police and guardsmen killed from the time of recruitment to May 5, 2005. 112 of them were killed in May. And it's only May 10th today.
No wonder the U.S. military recruiters keep missing their goals month after month. No one wants to enlist.
And with Iraqi rebels targeting police and army recruitment centers, I can't imagine there is much enthusiasm to enlist there, either.
Bring 'em on, you know. And Mission Accomplished.
I love #7:
The al Qaida affiliate Ansar al-Islam is known to still be present in Iraq. Such terrorist groups are now plotting against U.S. forces in Iraq.
Apparently they could only come up with nine reasons worth of material, because I'm baffled as to how that "supports the war on terror." That's the policy talking point equivalent to running out of material on stage and reverting to "anyone here from Cleveland? Clap if you're from Cleveland."
