I can't think of a more obnoxious prominent Republican during my lifetime

George W Bush, but I concede the rest of your point.

do you think voters still remember him? I suspect the visceral reaction to Gingrich has wanted over time. It's a shame; he really personifies the Right quite well.

I'm not sure if voters still remember him, which is why I suggested that somebody be polling the issue. Chances are that if anyone remembers him, it's going to be voters over 50, which is the group that the Repubs have mollify in order to have any chance of succeeding with their plans. If Gingrich is still toxic with them, then it's another tool in the toolbox.

Hey, Seniors!

Love that Medicare prescription drug card as much as your preznit does? Remember, Newt Gingrich wanted your prescription drug benefits to "wither on the vine!"

But hey, let's let bygones be bygones, eh? You can trust ol' Newt with your retirement savings, can't you?

Well then, I think we may have our answer on how it polled, huh?

I had such a good idea that folks at the DNC had already thought of it!
